Description of how the service meets relevant accessibility requirements
At present, the service meets the accessibility requirements of Legislative Decree 82/2022 to a significant degree, particularly with regard to:
- the keyboard navigability of most of the essential functionalities (search, product selection, shopping cart, account);
- the presence of descriptive alternative text for many product images and functional icons;
- the use of consistent semantic structures in the HTML code and the adoption of standard components compatible with assistive technologies;
- a hierarchical and linear content structure designed for simplified reading by screen readers;
- the progressive uniformity of color contrast and font size, aimed at improving readability;
- the partial adoption of WCAG 2.1 principles (level AA), with focus on perceivability, operability and comprehensibility.
- Some requirements are still being implemented, particularly those related to: the replicability of the user experience on mobile devices;
- the technical validation of interactive forms, especially in authentication and payment processes;
- the full usability via screen reader of the promotional sections and advanced search filters.
To address these needs, a technical remediation process was initiated and concluded, entrusted to a multidisciplinary team consisting of frontend developers, external accessibility specialists and digital content reviewers. The work includes aligning the code with the specifications of the harmonized standard EN 301 549 and WCAG 2.1 level AA, consistent with the provisions of Article 12 of the decree.
The site will be monitored periodically, including with the support of external audits, to ensure full compliance with applicable requirements and continuous improvement of the access experience for all people, with or without disabilities.
